Biography: She is the Ek-Do-Teen lady and Dhak-Dhak queen who has allured our minds and hearts with her outstanding performance in several effective movies. After 25 decades and with two children Madhuri Dixit still turns on the viewers whenever she is at the front side of a photographic camera.

Though she created her first appearance with Abodh (1984), it was Tezaab (1988) that created her a celebrity, in the real feeling. She then appeared in Ram Lakhan (1989), Parinda (1989), Kishen Kanhaiya (1990) and Prahaar (1991). She won her first Filmfare Award for Best Celebrity for her performance in Dil (1990). She went on to celebrity in Saajan (1991), Try out (1992), Khalnayak (1993), Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1994), Raja (1995) and Dil Toh Pagal Hai (1997). All these movies were extremely effective at the box-office, with Try out, Hum Aapke Hai Kaun and Dil Toh Pagal Hai successful her the Filmfare Prizes for Best Celebrity. She provided an awesome performance in Prakash Jha’s Mrityudand (1997) and with her expression of the courtesan Chandramukhi in Devdas (2002).

After a lengthy sabbatical, she came back returning with Aaja Nachle (2007) and obtained awards for her performance in the film although the film did not do so well at the box-office.

She has also created her performances in tv reveals like Nach Baliye and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.

In 2011, Madhuri moved returning from the US to Mumbai along with her close relatives.
